As a loyal Marriott member, I chose to stay at the Moxy Brussels based on solid reviews and brand trust, even though the Moxy line typically caters to a younger crowd—which has always made me a bit hesitant. Room: We booked a room with a balcony, which I assumed would mean a bit more space—especially by European standards. Unfortunately, the room was incredibly small. It had a single bed, and the layout was shockingly tight. You could literally sit on the toilet and touch someone lying in bed, I’m not exaggerating. There was no closet, no hooks near the door, no shelves or cubbies. I understand European hotels often run small, but this felt beyond standard. There was also no safe in the room, which wasn’t initially a problem, until housekeeping practically barged in while we were still in the room. Definitely uncomfortable. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was another issue. The towels smelled musty, there was hair in the shower and towels, and the area under the toilet seat was dirty. It felt like housekeeping was rushed or lacked attention to detail. It didn’t feel up to Marriott standards. Location: During the day, the area felt relatively safe and more local than touristy, which some may enjoy. However, we never walked at night, we always took Ubers back to the hotel. It's also not centrally located to the main tourist attractions. Most of the places we wanted to visit were at least a 20-minute Uber ride away. Food: The food was, unfortunately, a major letdown. On our first night, we ate at the hotel out of convenience. We ordered a chicken wrap, but it became clear that most of the food is microwaved. Shortly after eating, I felt unwell and was sick the entire night. I highly recommend skipping the on-site food and ordering from a local restaurant instead. While the Moxy brand might appeal to certain travelers, this particular stay didn’t live up to my expectations, especially as a Marriott loyalist. There were definitely some bright spots, like the lobby and general vibe, but the room layout, cleanliness, and food quality left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for comfort, space, and convenience in Brussels, you may want to explore other Marriott options in the city.

Booked this hotel because of the balcony, but rooms are very small, bed very small, bathroom feels cramped, feels like a cruise cabin. Made wrong choice booking this hotel, wouldn't stay again.
