I recently rented an apartment through Sotheby’s Belgium. From the first contact they have been very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I really needed assistance as I was living abroad and not fully aware of the Brussels real estate market and got everything I needed with Ms Ballaux and her supporting team. Strongly recommended!
I contacted Sotheby’s Realty proactively twice recently. Two different projects, two different branches: renting out a property (Brussels branch) and a few days later to sell real estate (Brabant branch). In Brussels, they asked me to first send an email with enough pictures and detailed description, which took me several hours to create. In Brabant, they said the right person would call me back immediately. Well … none of both bothered to contact me back. I got ZERO reaction ever since, from either branch. Meanwhile I also contacted other agencies. Not one of them asked to send an email, but visited my properties in person within 2 days max. Within a week, all paperwork was done, EPC created, pictures and videos taken … While I’m still waiting for ANY kind of life from the self-proclaimed “best professionals in the industry”, another agency has already filled my agenda with loads of actual appointments with highly relevant candidates. Maybe their policy is to blindly ghost properties that don’t cost enough millions. But then again, they didn’t even bother to find out if that was the case. Utterly rude and unprofessional to say the least. Just avoid.
